Kellie Martin is an American TV and film actress best known for her roles in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. Her other notable roles include playing the title role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin was the daughter of a department shop buyer and the kindergarten teacher. She began acting at seven years old when her aunt, who was the nanny of Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin get a part as in the 1982 television series Father Murphy. When she graduated from Yale University she began to take acting seriously, landing roles on both the small and large screen. Martin was also a photographer and a dancer. Her sister who passed away from Lupus at age 19, led her to becoming the Lupus National spokesperson.
